UNILORIN alumnus shines @ Nigerian Radio Award

An alumnus of the University of Ilorin, Mrs Khadijat Eyitanwa Lawal, has won the 2025 Best Female On-Air Personality award at the prestigious Nigerian Radio Awards held penultimate Sunday (November 23, 2025) in Abuja.
Mrs Lawal, one of Kwara’s standout broadcast voices who plies her trade at Sobi 101.9 FM, Ilorin, edged out other contestants to clinch the coveted award in recognition of her exceptional on-air presence, professionalism, and growing influence in the radio industry.
The ceremony, which brought together top media personalities, broadcasters and industry leaders from across the country, celebrated excellence in radio journalism and entertainment.
The ex-Unilorite’s win was met with excitement from colleagues and fans who described the honour as a well-deserved and testament to her consistency and impact in the media space.
Mrs Lawal, who is a 2012 graduate of the Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin, dedicated the award to her listeners and supporters, noting that the recognition will further inspire her to keep raising the bar in broadcasting.
