UNILORIN Alumni Spotlight is on Oluyemi Adeosun – Class of 2003!

Dr. Oluyemi Adeosun, an alumnus of the University of Ilorin, is a top-performing Economist, Human Resource Executive, Researcher, and Thought Leader with over 22 years of experience spanning diverse industries, including Power, Oil & Gas, Telecommunications, Fintech, Broadcasting, Media,  ICT, Real Estate, Advertising, Academia, and Consulting. He has an Msc and  Phd in Economics from the University of Lagos and MBA from OAU.

Dr. Adeosun combines academic rigor with industry expertise, driving impactful research in Economics, HR,  and workforce development. He has published over 52 papers in reputable journals and serves on the Scientific Board of AfricaLics, contributing to global discussions on innovation and competence-building systems.

An elected Governing Council Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), Dr. Adeosun holds esteemed certifications, including SPHRi and GPHR. He is also a Senior Research Fellow at the Fate Institute (2024–2026) and a certified career coach. He is the PRO of the Lagos State Chapter of the Nigerian Economic Society and a full  Member of Nigerian Economic Society (FMNES). He is also a Member Africa Evidence Network and  Member International Union for the Scientific Study of Population.

Beyond academia, he leads a thriving HR-focused YouTube channel (Oluyemi Adeosun) with over 6,250 followers and mentors over 7,000 HR professionals. A Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM), he is a sought-after speaker and thought leader dedicated to advancing Economic advancement across Africa and beyond.
