Ibrahim Amuda is a renowned expert in disaster management, disaster risk reduction, climate resilience, sustainable agriculture, rural development, and flood mitigation. His work encompasses anticipatory action, data analysis, nature-based solutions, emergency preparedness, early warning systems, and forecast-based financing.

With a multi-stakeholder approach, Ibrahim has worked at local, national, and regional levels to address climate-induced disasters. In Nigeria, he has contributed significantly to building resilience in communities affected by riverine flooding and drought. His efforts focus on flood and drought mitigation, promoting sustainable agricultural practices, and strengthening early warning systems by integrating local knowledge with scientific data.

Currently, Ibrahim leads the REBUMAA project in Nigeria, part of the CLARE regional initiative spanning Nigeria, Togo, and Benin Republic. This project aims to enhance disaster resilience and sustainable development in communities vulnerable to riverine flooding.
