UNILORIN Alumni Spotlight is on Grace Yemisi Balogun-Ifesanmi – Class of 2017!

Grace Yemisi Balogun-Ifesanmi is an environmental sustainability scientist and nanotechnology researcher whose work bridges laboratory science and real-world sustainability practice.
Her research examines nanoparticles with their interactions with plants; how this tiny materials influence growth, reduce heavy-metal stress, as well as open new paths toward safer, more sustainable agriculture. Through this work, she contributes to emerging global conversations on environmental safety, food security, and public-health protection.
Beyond the laboratory, Grace has built a strong professional record in environmental management and corporate sustainability. As an Environmental Consultant with Kevron Group, she helped organisations such as BASF Operations (Lekki Free Trade Zone), Miraflash Pharmaceuticals, Heng Li International, and Mardi Mari Investment (Aquadana Water) meet environmental regulatory and sustainability standards.
She and her team scripted environmental audit and management plan reports that ensured compliance with NESREA and state EPAs, and guided clients in securing air quality and waste management permits.
She later joined ParallelPoint Consulting as an ESG and Sustainability Consultant, where she scripted sustainability reports aligned with GRI, UNGC, CDP, and SASB frameworks. Her ability to connect scientific evidence with business goals continues to make her a sought-after adviser in sustainable development and environmental compliance.
Grace, a distinguished alumna of the University of Ilorin, is also the Founder of OxenAds, a printing and sustainability venture that merges communication design with eco-conscious practice, helping organisations present their messages responsibly.
