UNILORIN Alumni Spotlight is on Ayokunle Ilesanmi Anifowose – Class of 2014!

Ayokunle Ilesanmi Anifowose is an experienced People Operations professional with a strong track record in the fintech industry. He has over 11 years of progressive People Operations experience spanning talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and strategic people operations.

Currently serving as People Operations Manager at Payaza Africa Limited, he leads initiatives that align talent strategy with business goals, driving employee satisfaction and organisational growth.

Prior to this, he held senior People Operations roles at Glover Technologies, and Lington & Bernie Consulting, where he managed large-scale recruitment projects, optimised HR processes, and supported workforce planning across multiple sectors including finance, oil & gas.

Ayokunle began his HR career at Workforce Group, where he led recruitment and outsourcing solutions across client organisations.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography and Environmental Management from the University of Ilorin and is currently pursuing a degree in Human Resource Management at IU International University of Applied Sciences. Passionate about people development, Ayokunle combines operational excellence with a people-first mindset to foster inclusive and high-performing work cultures.
