UNILORIN, a bastion of discipline- MTRBN’s Registrar

The Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the Medical Rehabilitation Therapists Board of Nigeria (MRTBN), Prof. Rufai Yusuf Ahmad, has described the University of Ilorin as a bastion of discipline and excellence, which deserves to be emulated by all.

Prof. Ahmad made this assertion last Wednesday (December 3, 2025) while speaking with UNILORIN Bulletin on the sidelines of the induction of the second set of physiotherapists produced by the University of Ilorin.

The Registrar said that he was amazed seeing students of the University conducting themselves orderly at the institution’s new Motor Park. He said that despite their large presence at the park, he was extremely delighted that the Unilorites formed themselves into a very long and organised queue while awaiting transportation into the campus.

Prof. Ahmad said that such a level of orderliness is not only rare in this part of the world but also somehow uncommon among youths who are always in a hurry.

The MTRBN Registrar also said that the timely commencement of the induction programme also surprised him as he had initially hesitated to leave his hotel room on time, thinking that he would experience the usual late commencement.

He explained that with his experiences from other places and events, he had anticipated that the programme would commence beyond the announced time, but he was happy that the event kicked-off at the exact time as previously advertised.

The MTRBN Registrar said that with what he experienced at the University of Ilorin, Nigerians should be hopeful of a better future as exemplified in the conduct of the University.

Prof. Ahmad thanked the authorities of the University for instilling discipline not only among students but also in its staff, who are evidently among the best he has seen.

He enjoined other universities and organisations to emulate the University of Ilorin for Nigeria to experience the much-anticipated rebirth.
