SSANU celebrates Lawal, UNILORIN Bursar, @ 58

The Chairman of the University of Ilorin Branch of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), Mr Naheem Olusola Falowo, has described the Bursar of the University, Mr Abiodun Lawal, as a fascinating boss and mentor who deserves to be celebrated for his contributions to the progress of the University.
Mr Falowo made this assertion last Tuesday (March 10, 2026) while joining others to celebrate the 58th birthday of the seasoned financial technocrat.
In a statement, the SSANU Chairman said, ” Even at the early stage of your tenure as our Bursar, the Bursary Department is already witnessing remarkable progress and positive transformations”.
Mr Falowo described the Bursar as a strong member of his Association who has served the University and SSANU creditably over the years.
He recalled that Mr Lawal served as a member of 2021 Electoral Committee of the Association. He also said that the Bursar was a member of the Vice Chancellor Search Team that was elected by the congregation on the platform of SSANU
Mr Falowo equally thanked Mr Lawal for serving as a member of SSANU National Finance Committee as he said that the Bursar is at present serving as a member of the Think Tank Committee of the SSANU Executive Committee.
Speaking specifically on the personality of the Bursar, Mr Falowo added, ” Your leadership style is worthy of study and emulation” as he stated that Mr Lawal would continue to be appreciated “for the guidance, support, and the progress we are making under your watch.”
Mr Falowo wished Mr Lawal “more years of sound health, greater wisdom, and continued success in all your endeavours and may your tenure continue to bring growth and excellence to the University community”.
