The Ag. Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State University (RSU), Port-Harcourt, Mr Victor G. Banigo, has commended the professionalism deployed to the production of UNILORIN Bulletin, the weekly newsletter of the University of Ilorin.

            Mr Banigo gave this commendation last Thursday (August 14, 2025) in a telephone chat with UNILORIN Bulletin reporter.

            The RSU spokesperson said that having gone through its several copies online, he found himself compelled to commend the amazing quality and frequency of the weekly publication. He also gave kudos to its Editor and Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr Kunle Akogun, and other members of its production crew.

            Mr Banigo, who is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), added that he was not surprised with the consistent magnitude and quality of media coverage the University attracts as he said that the University has excelled in reporting itself to the wider world.

            He specifically commended the organisational structure of the Directorate of Corporate Affairs of the University of Ilorin, saying that the arrangement is worthy of being emulated.

            Mr Banigo, who expressed delight with the cordial relationship existing between the Rivers State University and the University of Ilorin, recalled that the UNILORIN Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, was at his University (RSU) to deliver its last Convocation Lecture early this year.             He expressed hope that the Public Affairs Units of the two institutions would continue to share ideas that would be of benefit not just to the two universities but also to their peers all over the country.
