Physical Sciences, Agric get new Deans

Prof. Olabisi Adeleye Adekeye, who teaches at the Department of Geology and Mineral Sciences and Prof. Israel Ogunlade of the Department of Crop Production have emerged as the new Deans of the Faculties of Physical Sciences and Agriculture, respectively.

Their emergence followed their elections by their respective Faculties on Monday, July 21, 2025 and Wednesday, July 23, 2025.

Prof. Adekeye will succeed Prof. Baba Abdullahi Alafara while Prof. Ogunlade will take over from Prof. Oluwayemisi Fawole on Friday, August 1, 2025.

Speaking after their elections, the new Deans thanked their colleagues for finding them worthy of heading their respective Faculties for the next two years.

They promised to do their best towards ensuring better service delivery and ensuring that the University continues to rank among the best.
