The Ag Head of the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, University of Ilorin, Dr Kemi Funmilayo Omotesho, has been conferred with the prestigious title of Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).
A distinguished academic with a strong background in the banking sector, Dr Omotesho had demonstrated exceptional leadership and proficiency in banking operations, rising through the ranks at UBA to become a Branch Manager before joining the services of the University of Ilorin.
Reacting, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Wahab Egbewole, SAN, welcomed Dr Omotesho’s investiture as he commended her for the remarkable achievement.
Prof. Egbewole, who spoke through the University’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr Kunle Akogun, noted that the investiture was a recognition of her significant contributions to both the financial industry and the academic sphere.
Prof. Egbewole said that the entire University community is proud of “this well-deserved recognition of her commitment and excellence”.
