Omosewo bags AcIRSTD Board appointment, FARST Fellowship

A retired Professor of the University of Ilorin, Prof.  Esther Ore Omosewo, has been inaugurated as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Academy of Innovative Research on Science and Technological Development (AcIRSTD). She was also inducted as a Fellow of the Academy of Researchers, Scientists and Technologists (FARST).

Prof. Omosewo, who is Nigeria’s first female Professor of Physics Education, received the honours penultimate Thursday (March 26, 2026) at the Nigeria National Merit Award House, Maitama, Abuja.

The recognition highlights her years of dedication, professionalism, and impactful contributions to Science Education, and technological development in Nigeria.

Prof. Omosewo has made significant contributions to educational advancement, particularly in the field of Physics Education, where she has played a pioneering role.

Her historic achievement as the first female Professor of Physics Education in Nigeria continues to inspire young scholars, especially women, across the country.

The conferment of the FARST Fellowship further underscores her outstanding contributions to research, innovation, and scientific development.

Prof. Omosewo is widely recognised for her commitment to academic excellence and her enduring impact on Nigeria’s scientific and educational landscape.
