Odunola praises management’s commitment to staff, students’ well-being

The Director of the University of Ilorin Health Services, Dr Rasheed Adekeye Odunola, has commended the University management on prioritising students and staff well-being.
Speaking on UNILORIN 89.3 FM’s “Oro Tonlo”, anchored by the General Manager of the Station, Mr Idris Alooma, last Tuesday (January 6, 2026), Dr Odunola praised the management’s efforts in providing necessary equipment, medications, and personnel to ensure that the clinic functions effectively.
Dr Odunola highlighted the clinic’s constant preparedness, even during public holidays, and advised students and staff to maintain a clean environment and take precautionary measures. He also encouraged students to avoid hard drugs and focus on their studies.
The Director stated that the University management, led by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, has invested significantly in the clinic, including a nearly completed extension project.
Dr Odunola noted that, in 2025, the clinic received a first batch of medications worth ₦79 million, with additional purchases thereafter.
The Director added that the University Health Services offer preventive, curative, referral, and research services, and assured that staff ofthe Clinic would continue to improve on their performance.
