The National Association of University Students (NAUS), Kwara State Chapter, has congratulated the President-elect of the University of Ilorin Student Union, Mr Idris Ayomo Adelu, on his well-deserved victory. The Association also rejoiced with all other newly elected officials of the Union.

The Association, in a statement signed by its Chairman, Mr Anafi Muftaudeen Alabi, a copy of which was made available to UNILORIN Bulletin, also  commended the management of the University of Ilorin for ensuring that the elections were  transparent and credible.

The NAUS’ Chairman acknowledged the University’s commitment to democratic values and the rule of law that were evident throughout the exercise.

He expressed confidence in President-elect Adelu’s capacity to handle the responsibilities of student leadership, saying that Mr Adelu possesses the vision and competence to make informed decisions that will positively impact the student community.

Mr Anafi, therefore, pledged NAUS’ full support and collaboration with the UNILORIN Student Unions’s new executives to ensure a productive tenure that would promote academic excellence, improved student welfare, and a more vibrant university environment.

The Association wished Mr Adelu and his colleagues a very successful tenure.
