Magaji Nda, UNILORIN RATTAWU Chairman, loses mom

The death has been announced of Alhaja Memunat Nagode Saliu Magaji Nda, the mother of the Chairman of the University of Ilorin Branch of the Radio, Television and Theatre Workers Union (RATTAWU), Mr Abdulkadir Yinka Saliu(Magaji Nda) at the age of 76.
A statement by the Magaji-Nda of Ilorin and husband of the deceased, Alhaja (Dr) Saliu Woru Muhammed, explained that Alhaji Magaji-Nda died last Monday (March 16, 2026) after a brief illness while her remains were buried on the same day in according with Muslim rites.
Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, has sympathised with Mr Magaji Nda on the loss of his beloved mother.
In a statement issued by the Director of Corporate Affairs of the University, Mr Kunle Akogun, the Vice Chancellor said that the passing of Alhaja Magaji Nda at this point-in-time is painful not only to her family but the entire Ilorin community and humanity at large.
Prof. Egbewole, who also sympathised with the Magaji Nda of Ilorin and other relations and friends of the deceased, urged them to take solace in the fact that the late matriarch lived a fulfilled life as she was survived by outstanding children who will perpetuate her good name and virtues.
The Vice Chancellor prayed to Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and reward her good deeds with admission into Aljanat Fridaous as he prayed to Allah to grant all the bereaved the fortitude to bear her death.
