
We eagerly await UNILORIN @ 50 celebrations, says Amuda-Yusuf

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, has described the newly inaugurated President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Alhaji Jani Ibrahim, as a reliable ally of the University.
Prof. Egbewole made this remark last Tuesday (June 17, 2025) at the 2025 NACCIMA Conference Dinner held at the Ilorin Golf Club. Alhaji Ibrahim was officially inaugurated as the 23rd President of NACCIMA last Thursday (June 19, 2025).
The Vice Chancellor said, “We are pleased to associate with the President of NACCIMA, Alhaji Engr Jani Ibrahim, who has been a resourceful supporter of our aspirations as a University. He remains a reliable ally committed to the growth and success of our institution.”
Prof. Egbewole further remarked that Alhaji Ibrahim has always responded positively to the University’s engagements and made himself, and the business community readily available for collaboration.
“We are proud to be part of this great achievement. We are here to register our appreciation and to wish him a very successful tenure as President of NACCIMA”, he said.
Prof. Egbewole emphasised that the prestigious position is a testament to Alhaji Ibrahim’s exemplary leadership, dedication, and commitment to the development of Nigeria’s business community.
“Your extensive experience and unwavering advocacy for economic progress position you perfectly to steer NACCIMA towards new heights. We are confident that under your guidance, the Association will continue to serve as a vital voice for Nigerian entrepreneurs, industry stakeholders, and the broader economy landscape”, he added.
The Vice Chancellor assured Alhaji Jani Ibrahim of the institution’s continued collaboration.
In attendance at the event were the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Moji Taibat Bakare-Odunola; the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Management Services), Prof. Adegboyega Adisa Fawole; the Deputy Vice Chancellor(Research, Technology and Innovation), Prof. Muhtar Adeiza Etudaiye; and the University Registrar, Mr Mansur Adeleke Alfanla, among others.
