The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, has congratulated Mr A. O. Anofi of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Faculty of Environmental Sciences, on his election as National Treasurer of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP).

In a congratulatory letter made available to UNILORIN Bulletin on Friday March 7, 2025), the Registrar of the University, Mr Mansur Adeleke Alfanla, described Anofi’s appointment as well deserved.

               Mr Alfanla noted that “this is a landmark achievement and a testament to your dedication and commitment to the advancement of town planning in Nigeria.”

He added that the appointment underscores Mr Anofi’s “integrity, outstanding contributions and leadership in the Institute.”

               The Registrar maintained that the University Management acknowledged the significance of Mr Anofi’s role and is confident that his wealth of knowledge and experience will greatly benefit the Institute. “The University is confident that you will continue to display the exemplary leadership qualities, which are worthy of emulation and bring same to bear in your day to day engagements contributing significantly to the development of the University, the Institute and Nigeria as a whole”, he added.
