The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Management Services), University of Ilorin, Prof. Suleiman Funsho Ambali, has described the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, as a wonderful leader, who has always done his best towards taking the University to greater heights.

Prof. Ambali stated this penultimate Thursday (January 9, 2025) while speaking with UNILORIN Bulletin in his office.

The Deputy Vice Chancellor explained that Prof. Egbewole has always demonstrated love for all the members of the University community irrespective of their ethnic, religious and professional inclinations.

He added that the Vice Chancellor has maintained his fantastic dispositions to all despite occasional mistakes or disappointments from some members of the University community.

The Professor of Environmental Toxicology described the Vice Chancellor as a leader who believes in democratic principles and would always engage in meaningful consultations before taking decisions on issues pertaining to the University.

Prof. Ambali, who is also the Chairman of the Ilorin Emirate Staff Association (IESA), University of Ilorin, said that the exemplary leadership of the Vice Chancellor is responsible for the increasing and remarkable achievements recorded by the University since he became its Chief Executive in October 2022.

Prof. Ambali said that he and other members of the University management staff have always enjoyed a good working relationship with the Vice Chancellor as they see one another as brothers.

He, therefore, implored members of the University community, particularly staff and students to continue to cooperate fully with the Vice Chancellor for the University to achieve its corporate objectives.
