CIE recommends 11 Unilorites for Erasmus+ Mobility scholarship

The Centre for International Education(CIE), University of Ilorin has recommended 11 Unilorites for Erasmus+ Mobility scholarship to enable them complete their research and gain International exposure  in various institutions of higher learning across the world.

Those recommended for programmes are Juliana Beauty Akpotaire, Taofeeq Nasir Alatise, Sekinat Kehinde Bamigbade, Monday Kinsley Oserei and Abdulsalami Abubakar. The beneficiaries are postgraduate students at the Departments of History and International Studies, Public and Private Law, Finance, and Economics, respectively.

Also recommended are Folake Adekitan Adewusi, Sophiyyah Fehintola Saka, Nuhu Babatunde Umar and Gunu AbdulAzeez from the Departments of Adult and Primary Education, Common Law, Social Work and Criminology and Security Studies.

The rest are Moses Opara of the Department of Arts Education and Mr Fatiu Karatu, who is of the Department of Religions.

Speaking with UNILORIN Bulletin on the development, the Director of CIE, Prof. Lateef Onireti Ibraheem, said that each of these beneficiaries was carefully selected after rigorous screening exercises.

Prof. Onireti, who teaches at the Department of Arabic and Transnational Studies, expressed the hope that the beneficiaries would take the privilege with every seriousness it deserves. He promised that more Mobility, Exchange and Internationalisation programmes are still on the way for both students and staff of other Departments of the University.

The Director thanked the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, for not only pursuing internationalisation drive for the University but for also giving CIE all the support it needed to ensure that the University competes favourably with its peers across the globe.
