The Chief Imam of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Nasir AbdusSalam, has urged Muslim faithful, particularly parents and fresh graduates, to express gratitude to Allah for their successes and remain humble.

               Prof. AbdusSalam made the call last Friday, October 24,2025) while delivering a sermon, titled “Success and Gratitude: Recognising Allah’s Favour.” at a Special Juma’at Service to mark the end of the 40th Convocation Ceremonies.

               The renowned scholar emphasised that gratitude is obligatory upon achieving success, pointingout that those who thank Allah will be rewarded with more .

               He also stressed the importance of appreciating others’ kindness, warning that failing to do so may lead to ingratitude towards Allah.

               Prof. AbdusSalam expressed gratitude to Allah for the successful completion of the University’s 40th Convocation Ceremonies without any negative incident.

               The Chief Imam advised graduands to utilise their knowledge to serve humanity as he urged them to be contented with what Allah blessed them with.
