Alumnus donates ₦4m solar power system to Physical Sciences Faculty

An alumnus of the University of Ilorin, Mr Cletus Idiagbor, has donated a 5kVA solar power system worth ₦4 million to the Faculty of Physical Sciences as part of his commitment to supporting his alma mater.

               Mr Idiagbor, who graduated  from the Department of Geology  and Mineral Sciences in 1983 and was the first student of the Department to graduate with a first-class degree, made the donation penultimate  Monday, (August 25, 2025).

               The donor congratulated the new Dean of the Faculty, Prof. O.A. Adekeye, and explained that the gesture was motivated by the need to address the challenge of unstable electricity supply on campus.
