Mr Alfanla gave this advice last Thursday (October 2, 2025) while receiving a delegation of the Radio, Television, Theater and Arts Workers Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU), University of Ilorin Chapter, led by its Chairman, Mr Yinka Soliu Magaji-Nda, in his office.
He emphasised the importance of diligence, discipline, and accuracy in reporting to ensure national security.

He expressed appreciation to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, and other Principal Officers for recognising RATTAWU as a union on campus.
The RATTAWU delegation included its Vice Chairman, Mrs Oluyemisi Olayemi; Treasurer, Mrs. Jelilat B. Adedimeji; Secretary, Mr. Nasr Dhikrillah Bolarinwa; Mr Idrees Lukman Kehinde, Mrs. Adekitan Oluwafunmilayo Ekundayo and the Head of Programmes of UNILORIN 89.3FM, Mr Temitope Olawuyi.
