Two senior academic staff of the University of Ilorin, Dr Ruth Abiola Adimula and Dr Shittu Raji, have been appointed as members of the Editorial Board of the Nigeria Police Force Academic Journal.

The appointment of the duo, who teach at the institution’s Centre for Peace and Strategic Studies, was conveyed to them through separate letters addressed to each of  them by the Office of the Inspector-General of Police, Federal Republic of Nigeria.

In his reaction, the Registrar of the University, Mr Mansur Adeleke Alfanla, described the appointment of the two lecturers as “a testament to their outstanding contributions to the field of Policing and Strategic Studies”.

In a letter addressed to each of the duo dated June 1, 2025, a copy of which was made available to UNILORIN Bulletin, Mr Alfanla congratulated them on the recognition extended to them by the Police authorities.

Mr Alfanla expressed the conviction that the  expertise of the duo “will add significant value to the journal and further elevate the scholarly profile of the University of Ilorin”.

The Registrar assured the two scholars of “the management’s full support as you take on this important responsibility”.
