Ikibe hails Egbewole on UNILORIN TV studio

The Chairman of UNILORIN Television Management Board, Prof. Solomon I. Ikibe, has commended the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, on the ongoing construction of the television station’s studio.
Prof. Ikibe gave this commendation last Wednesday (September 23, 2026) when he led the Board on a working visit to the studio.
He said that the commencement of the project has shown that the Vice Chancellor is a very proactive leader who will always do everything within his province to ensure the progress of the University.
The Chairman said that the completion of the project would assist the staff members of the television station in the discharge of their duties.
Prof. Ikibe said that the quality of work on the project is also encouraging, saying that the replacement of the ceiling in the studio and other materials would make the station to excel.
Speaking on the readiness of the Board, Prof. Ikibe said that he and his colleagues are prepared to use the station to provide quality coverage and reportage of events, issues and personalities with a view to boosting the rank of the University among its peers.
Prof. Ikibe was accompanied on the visit by the Director of Corporate Affairs, University of Ilorin, Mr Kunle Akogun; a lecturer at the Department of Educational Technology, Dr M. A. Aderoju; a staff member of the University Registry,Mr Tosin Adua and the Deputy Editor of UNILORIN Bulletin, who is also the Secretary of the Board, Mr Abubakar Imam.
