UNILORIN management greets Raheem on PCVSN appointment

The management of the University of Ilorin has congratulated Prof. Kabir Ayobami Raheem of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine on his appointment to the Senate and Academic Board of the Postgraduate College of Veterinary Surgeons of Nigeria (PCVSN).
In a letter dated September 2, 2026, which was signed by the Registrar, Mr Mansur Adeleke. Alfania, a copy of which was made available to UNILORIN Bulletin, the University described the appointment as a recognition of Prof. Raheem’s “outstanding professional accomplishments, experience, and commitment to the veterinary profession.”
The letter, written on behalf of the Vice Chancellor and the entire University Management, was in response to Prof. Raheem’s notification letter dated August 28, 2026, informing the institution of the appointment.
“The University is confident that during your tenure, your wealth of knowledge and expertise will contribute immensely to the growth and advancement of the College,” the Registrar stated.
The management also wished Prof. Raheem a “successful and impactful tenure in his new role on the Senate and Academic Board of the PCVSN”, the apex postgraduate professional body for veterinary surgeons in Nigeria.
The appointment adds to Unilorin’s growing profile in veterinary medical education and research, with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine continuing to produce scholars taking leadership roles at national and international professional levels.
