Raheem, a worthy ambassador—Dean

The Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ilorin, Prof. A.Y. Muhammad, has described a former Chairman of the institution’s branch of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Prof. Usman Adebimpe Raheem, as a worthy ambassador of the Faculty.
Prof. Muhammad made this assertion penultimate Friday (August 28, 2026) while receiving Prof. Raheem in his office following the completion of his tenure as the Director of the Technical and Entrepreneurship Centre (TEC).
The Dean highlighted the significant contributions of Prof. Raheem to the development of the Faculty, saying that his contributions to the University community remain significant.
Prof. Muhammad and others who were present at the event also resolved to continue to work with the administration of Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole,SAN, in his efforts towards repositioning the University within the Nigerian University ecosystem.
