IEDPU, others hail Alfanla at 56

The Registrar of the University of Ilorin, Mr Mansur Adeleke Alfanla, has been described as an outstanding leader who has been serving the University and humanity with commitment, competence and candour.
This commendation was contained in congratulatory messages sent to Mr Alfanla on the occasion of his 56th birthday anniversary, which fell due last Friday (August 28, 2026).
In his congratulatory message, the National President of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, acknowledged the impacts of the Registrar on the progress of the community and most especially the University of Ilorin.
In a statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary of the Union, Mr Suleiman Shuaib Dagbo, the IEDPU President said that the Union had been following the remarkable career of the Registrar over the years and noted that he has been a blessing to the Ilorin Emirate and particularly the University of Ilorin.
The event also attracted congratulatory messages from several staff members of the University who described the Registrar as a compassionate leader.
They commended Mr Alfanla, who previously served as the Chairman of the University of Ilorin Branch of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), for impacting vigorously and positively on the development of the University before and since his appointment as the 7th Registrar of the University.
They wished the Registrar many more years of sound health, happiness and prosperity.
