Ajiboye, eX-UNILORIN medical director passes on

The death has been announced of the immediate past Director of Health Services, University of Ilorin, Dr Mary Ajiboye.

Dr Ajiboye, who retired from the services of the University of Ilorin about a decade ago, died last Saturday (August 22, 2026) after a brief illness at the age of 74.

Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, has expressed profound shock and sadness on the death of Dr Ajiboye.

In a statement issued by the University’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr Kunle Akogun, the Vice Chancellor described the late Dr Ajiboye as an outstanding medical professional who gave her all to the University and humanity throughout her career.

Prof. Egbewole sympathised with the relations, friends and colleagues of the deceased on her death as she prayed to God to grant her eternal felicity.
