We ‘ll uplift UNILORIN, KWASUED VC pledges

The Vice Chancellor of the Kwara State University of Education (KWASUED), Ilorin, Prof. Medinat Folorunso Salman, has assured the management, staff and students of the University of Ilorin of the readiness of the recipients of different honours and awards from the University to work with other stakeholders in uplifting the University.
Prof. Salman, who is also the first female Dean of the Faculty of Education, University of Ilorin, made this pledge last Monday (August 17, 2026) while speaking on behalf of about 30 alumni and friends of the University who bagged one award or the other from the University at a special homecoming ceremony organised in honour of the immediate past Registrar and Chief Executive of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Is-haq Olanrewaju Oloyede, CON and conferment of awards on some distinguished alumni and friends of the University.
She thanked the authorities of the University for finding her and other honourees worthy of the awards, saying that it was a great privilege to be honoured by a great citadel of learning like the University of Ilorin.
Prof. Salman also assured the University that she and her colleagues would continue to improve on the qualities seen in them, which informed the honours as she also assured that they would continue to serve as role-models to the current and ex-Unilorites.
The KWASUED’s Chief Executive also assured all that the honourees would continue to serve as veritable ambassadors of the University wherever they find themselves.
The Professor of Mathematics Education added that they would also, individually and collectively, think of what they can do to better the lot of the University and ensure that the University records significant progress in service delivery.
