Egbewole greets Abdul Samad Rabiu on 66th birthday

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, has joined other prominent Nigerians and organisations in congratulating an outstanding International businessman, Alhaji Abdul Samad Rabiu, CON, on the occasion of his 66th birthday. Alhaji Rabiu’s birthday anniversary fell due last Tuesday (August 4, 2026).
In a statement issued by the University’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr Kunle Akogun, the Vice Chancellor described the Kano-born eminent entrepreneur as an outstanding philanthropist who deserves to be celebrated, saying that his magnanimous philanthropic interventions would continue to be felt across Nigeria and beyond.
The Vice Chancellor explained that individuals such as Alhaji Rabiu who build companies are exemplary nation-builders because their investments are not only enhancing economic progress but are also promoting national integration.
Prof. Egbewole, who is also a member of the Nigerian Body of Benchers, appreciated Alhaji Rabiu for his numerous industrial and commercial investments across and beyond Nigeria that are providing job opportunities for thousands of Nigerians, many of whom are graduates of the University of Ilorin.
While describing Alhaji Rabiu as a good friend of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Egbewole appreciated the renowned business mogul for spearheading the ongoing construction of a gigantic Amphitheatre at the University, among other supports extended to the institution.
Prof. Egbewole prayed Allah to grant Alhaji Rabiu long life and sound health to enable him contribute more to national and human development.
