IBS ‘ll be better under me-Yahaya

The new Director of the Ilorin Business School, University of Ilorin, Prof. Khadijat Adenola Yahaya, has promised to mobilise available human and material resources towards ensuring that the School becomes truly better by far in service delivery.

Prof. Yahaya made this pledge last Tuesday (August 4, 2026) while taking over the leadership of the School from its erstwhile Director, Prof. Ismail Bolarinwa Kadir, at the Boardroom of the School.

The don, who is also a former Head of the Department of Accounting, assured stakeholders of her readiness not to spare efforts at ensuring higher enrollment of students into all its programmes.

She equally assured staff members that their welfare would be given adequate priority in order to promote industrial peace and also motivate them for enhanced productivity.

Prof. Yahaya, who is also a renowned chartered accountant, promised to embark on working visit to relevant institutions and organisations including the Sobi Military Cantonment, Ilorin, in order to ensure higher enrollment and fraternity for the School.

The new Director expressed profound gratitude to her predecessor for his services to the IBS and the University at large as she assured him that all the legacies he left behind would be protected and improved upon for the betterment of the system.

Speaking earlier, Prof. Kadir congratulated Prof. Yahaya on her appointment as he encouraged the management and staff of the School to cooperate fully with her.

While acknowledging the leadership qualities of her successor, Prof. Kadir, who teaches at the Department of Industrial Relations and Personnel Management, wished her a very peaceful and rewarding tenure.

The event was attended by the new Deputy Director of the School, Dr Issa Omoluabi, and several staff of the School.
