Gov. AbdulRazaq hosts two outstanding UNILORIN Law graduates

The Governor of Kwara State,Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, last Tuesday (July 28, 2026) hosted two outstanding alumni of the Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin, who excelled at the 2026 final bar examinations of the Nigerian Law School.
The two Unilorites, who were hosted at the Government House, Ilorin, are Mr Israel Adekunle Adeniyi and Miss Oluwatomisin Promise Daniel, both of whom were also indigenes of Kwara State. While Mr Adeniyi emerged as the best graduating student, Miss Daniel was the second best graduating student in Criminal Litigation for the same year.
Mallam AbdulRazaq, who is also the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF), explained that he felt that it was necessary for him to personally honour the hard work, commitment, and brilliance of the duo in order to motivate others to also do well and make their families and our state proud.
The Governor added that he was fascinated by the plan of the two young lawyers to immediately pursue their Master degrees at some Ivy League institutions.
In addition to the cash gifts of N5m given to each of the duo, Mallam AbdulRazaq also pledged to fund their Master degree programmes once they secure their admissions.
Mallam AbdulRazaq, who is also the Sardauna of Ilorin, added that the token represents his appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the honourees as he promised that he would continue to recognise excellence and hard work in any field.
Mallam AbdulRazaq wished the two ex-Unilorites all the best that life can offer.
At the event were the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Moji Taibat Bakare-Odunola and the immediate past Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Dr Rafiu Ajakaye.
