UNILORIN management hails Staff School teachers over 93% BECE success

The University of Ilorin management has commended the Head Teacher and the entire teaching staff of the University Staff School for the outstanding performance of the School in the 2025/2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), in which the School recorded an impressive 93 per cent overall pass rate.

In a letter of appreciation dated July 16, 2026, signed by the Registrar, Mr M. A. Alfanla, on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, University management described the achievement as a testament to the  dedication, hard work, professionalism and commitment  of the teachers to providing quality education and ensuring academic excellence.

According to the letter, the outstanding result reflects the collective efforts of the teaching staff, the effective leadership of the School and the support given to the pupils throughout their academic journey.

The management expressed pride in the accomplishment and commended the teachers for their resilience and unwavering commitment to duty.

The Registrar urged the Head Teacher to convey the heartfelt appreciation and congratulations of University to all members of the teaching staff, while encouraging them to sustain the excellent performance and continue to uphold the high standards of academic excellence for which the University of Ilorin is renowned.
