UNILORIN to host PSSN’s International confab

All is set for the 10th international conference of the Professional Statisticians’ Society of Nigeria(PSSN), which will be hosted by the University of Ilorin. The theme of the conference is “Statistical Intelligence for National Security and Good Governance in a Data-Driven Economy”.
A statement signed by the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee of the Conference, Prof. Waheed Babatunde Yahya, a copy of which was made available to UNILORIN Bulletin, explained that the opening ceremony of the conference will hold next Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at the University Auditorium beginning at 9:00am.
Prof. Yahya, who is also the Director of the Advancement Centre, University of Ilorin, said that the Statistician General of the Federation, Prince Adeyemi Semiu Adeniran, and the Executive Secretary of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Kaduna, Prof. Idris Muhammad Bugaje, would be the Keynote Speakers at the event.
He added that the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, would be the Chief Host while Prof. Yahya, who is also the President of the PSSN, would serve as the Host.
Members of the University community and the general public are enjoined to attend the programme promptly.
