Saliu emerges NSIA’s President

A former Dean of the old Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, University of Ilorin, Prof. Hassan Ajisafe Saliu, has emerged as the new President of the Nigerian Society of International Affairs (NSIA).

Prof. Saliu, who is the immediate past President of the Nigerian Political Science Association (NPSA), emerged as NSIA’s interim President last Wednesday(July 8, 2026) after a consultative session on the revival of the Association.

Other members of the NSIA interim leadership are Prof. Victor Adetula and Prof. Murtala Muhammad.

The Committee was invested with the power to co-opt two female scholars to ensure broader representation, inclusivity and gender balance in its composition.
