Ajadi, CILS staff member, passes on

The death has been announced of a Caretaker/Office Assistant at the Centre for Ilorin Studies (CILS), University of Ilorin, Mr Sulyman Ajadi.
Mr Ajadi, who was also a relation of the late nineth Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. AbdulGaniyu Ambali, OON, died last Monday (June 22, 2026) after a brief illness.
The remains of the late Mr Ajadi were committed to mother earth on the same day at the new Muslim Cemetery, Oko-Olowo, Ilorin in accordance with Muslim rites after a Janazah prayer at his residence, Adeludere Compound, Idi-Orombo Quarters, Ilorin.
The fidau for the further repose of the soul of the deceased was held at his residence last Wednesday (June 24, 2026) and it was attended by several staff members of the University.
Meanwhile, the Director of the CILS, Prof. Issa Olanrongbe Sanusi, has paid glowing tributes to the late Mr Ajadi, saying that he received the news of his demise with rude shock.
The Director described the late Mr Ajadi as a hardworking, reliable and humble employee, who served the University, particularly CILS, with absolute loyalty and dedication, adding that the deceased would be sorely missed.
Prof. Sanusi sympathised with the family, friends, associates and colleagues of the late Mr Ajadi on his death.
While praying to Allah to grant all the bereaved the fortitude to bear his passing, Prof. Sanusi also prayed to Allah to forgive his shortcomings and rest his soul in Aljanat Fridaous.
