Alfanla loses stepmom

The death has been announced of Alhaja Nafisat Alfanla, the step-mother of the Registrar, University of Ilorin, Mr Mansur Adekeke Alfanla.

Alhaja Alfanla died penultimate Saturday (June 20, 2026) at the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital, Ilorin, after a brief illness.

The late Alhaja Alfanla, who was also a sister in-law to the Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Information Sciences, University of Ilorin, Prof. Saudat Salah Abdulbaqi, has since been buried in accordance with Muslim rites after the Janazah prayer held at the Ansarul Islam Primary School, Okekere, Ilorin.

Meanwhile, the fidau for the further repose of the soul of Alhaja Alfanla was held last Wednesday (June 24, 2026) at her residence and it was attended by several staff members of the University.
