By Abubakar Imam
The Director of Social and Family Affairs, Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Dr Falilat Ajoke Abdul, has disclosed that graduates of the University of Ilorin are doing very well across the world.
Dr Abdul, who, prior to her current position, was a lecturer at the University of Ilorin’s Department of Business Administration, stated this last Tuesday (June 23, 2026) in a telephone chat with UNILORIN Bulletin.
She explained that she had met quite a number of Unilorites in the course of her duties, particularly at international events and that their performances have always been very exciting.
While she explained that some of those Unilorites are citizens of other countries who earned one degree or the other at the University, Dr Abdul said others are Nigerians.
She said that it has been exciting and encouraging for her seeing many of such Unilorites sharing platforms with global intellectuals and dignitaries.
Dr Abdul, who is also an alumnus of the University, commended the University management for always ensuring that the students are inculcated with the right knowledge and values.
While commending both the academic and non-teaching staff members of the University for always giving their best, Dr Abdul encouraged the students of the University to face their studies squarely as she said that once they are properly educated, opportunities would always come after them.
