Unilorite shines in Turkey

The sustained internationalisation efforts of the University of Ilorin has continued to receive boosts as a lecturer at the Department of Sociology, Mr Abdulsalami Abubakar, was recently engaged to teach at Sakarya University, Turkey.
This was disclosed by the Director of the Centre for International Education (CIE), University of Ilorin, Prof. Lateef Onireti Ibraheem, in a chat with UNILORIN Bulletin.
According to Prof. Onireti, Mr Abubakar was assigned the responsibility of teaching 100 Level students of the Turkish University “Structure of African Societies” in the course of which he tutored the students on the complexities and nature of the traditional African societies.
Prof. Onireti explained that Mr Abubakar was on Erasmus KA171 Ph.D. Scholarship in Turkey.
The Director, who commended Mr Abubakar for positively projecting the image of the Better by far University in Turkey, urged other staff members and alumni of the University to always present themselves as good ambassadors of the institution.
He also thanked the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, for providing his Centre with all the support it requires to serve staff and students of the University adequately.
