Egbewole hails Kolade-Otitoju, TVC News Director, @ 60

As the renowned investigative journalist and Director of News, Television Continental, Mr Babajide Kolade-Otitoju, marked his 60th birthday penultimate Saturday (March 28, 2026), the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, has joined President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other leaders from all walks of life to congratulate the distinguished UNILORIN alumnus, on the milestone.
In a statement issued by the Director of Corporate Affairs, University of Ilorin, Mr Kunle Akogun, last Monday March 30, 2026, the Vice Chancellor said that Mr Kolade-Otitoju has emerged as a prominent conscience of the nation who deserves to be celebrated.
Prof. Egbewole said that the University is very proud of the professional achievements of Mr Kolade-Otitoju, saying that his contributions here and there, over the years rank him as one of the nation’s most influential patriots.
The Professor of Jurisprudence and International Law recalled that the exciting contributions of the award-winning media professional informed the honour conferred on him, along with several others, by the University as part of activities marking its Golden Jubilee last year.
The Vice Chancellor, while congratulating the ace journalist on his birthday, encouraged Mr Kolade-Otitoju to continue to offer more services towards nation-building.
Mr Kolade-Otitoju, a 1989 graduate of the Department of History, University of Ilorin, is a regular anchor person on TVC’s flagship programme, “Journalists Hangout”.
