Kwara Health Commissioner praises UNILORIN mentorship

The Kwara State Commissioner for Health, Dr Aminat Ahmed El-Imam, has commended the University of Ilorin for its outstanding mentorship and platform that has enabled it and others to excel globally.
Speaking on UNILORIN 89.3 FM’s “Oro to n lo”, which was anchored by its General Manager, Mr Idris Alooma, last Tuesday (March 24, 2026) Dr El-Imam credited the institution for producing accomplished individuals making waves worldwide.
Dr El-Imam, who is a lecturer at the Department of Microbiology, University of Ilorin, emphasised the Kwara Government’s commitment to partnering with UNILORIN on health research, human capital development, and resource sharing.
The Commissioner commended the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole and other stakeholders for elevating the institution’s alluring reputation.
Dr El-Imam also praised the University’s conducive environment, which enabled individuals to thrive globally, explaining that her own achievements exemplify the institution’s impact, which she said would inspire others to strive for excellence.
