The Registrar of the University of Ilorin, Mr Mansur Adeleke Alfanla, has called on newly recruited staff of the University Registry to prioritise discipline, professional conduct, and a deep understanding of the institution’s regulations.
Speaking at a special training session held at the Auditorium Basement last Thursday (March 5, 2026), Mr Alfanla emphasised that the Registry serves as the administrative backbone of the University. He charged the new appointees to be diligent, maintain a positive work attitude, and strictly adhere to punctuality.
”Professionalism begins with the basics: dressing appropriately, arriving on time, and mastering the conditions of service that govern your employment,” the Registrar stated, adding that staff must perform their duties with the utmost discretion and loyalty to the institution.
The Registrar further hinted that an orientation for all the newly recruited staff members of the University will soon be organised by the management team led by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Egbewole, SAN.
To provide a comprehensive orientation, several Deputy Registrars shared their expertise on the various facets of University administration. They include Mrs Azeezat Quadri Ibrahim (Office of the Vice Chancellor); Mr John Aiyedun (Human Resources–Academic); Mr Abdulrahman Abdulfatah (Human Resources–Junior Staff Section); and Mr Kabir Adewoyin (Human Resources– Non-Teaching).
