UNILORIN Deputy Registrars hold maiden annual party

The University of Ilorin Registry buzzed with cheer and  camaraderie as Deputy Registrars gathered for their first annual get-together.

Held at the scenic UNILORIN Lakeside Resort last Wednesday (January 21, 2026), the event was a joyous reflection of 2025 marked by achievements, collaboration, and professional growth.

Speaking at the event, t​he Registrar, Mr Mansur Alfanla, commended the  team’s efforts, particularly their contributions to the 40th convocation ceremonies and the University’s 50th-anniversary celebrations.

Mr Alfanla also commended the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Egbewole, SAN, for his pivotal role in actualising the career progression of non-teaching staff to CONTISS 15, a milestone that significantly boosts staff morale.

He further praised the huge contributions of the Deputy Registrars who continue to support the growth of the institution.

While thanking the Vice Chancellor for his unwavering support for staff training, the Registrar expressed optimism that the Registry would continue to benefit from professional development opportunities both within and outside the country to help achieve the vision of the University.

​In his address, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Egbewole, SAN, acknowledged the crucial role Deputy Registrars play in the University administration.

He applauded the Registry’s prowess and the inclusive environment promoted by the Registrar.

Prof. Egbewole urged the staff to continue embracing automation in their records and assured them that management would maintain a conducive work environment.

A key highlight of the event was the presentation of awards to select Registry staff, recognising their exceptional productivity and professional conduct throughout 2025.
