The University of Ilorin Chapter of the Ilorin Emirate Students Union (IESU) will on Monday (December 22, 2025) organise an academic summit at the Moot Court of the Faculty of Law beginning at 10:00a.m.
A statement jointly-signed by Mr Idris Maiyaki and Mr Ishaq Abdulquadir, President and General Secretary of the Union, respectively, explained that the event will hold under the Chairmanship of the Director, Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board(JUPEB) Foundation School, University of Ilorin, Prof. Ibrahim Kayode Adam; with Magaji Maiyaki of Ilorin, Engr. AbdulKareem Jimoh Maiyaki as the Royal Father of the Day while the Imam Gambari of Ilorin, Shaykh Sulyman AbdulAzeez, will serve as the Spiritual Father of the event.
The statement added that the event that would witness paper presentations from respected scholars on issues of contemporary significance, is intended to assist members of the Union and their colleagues across cultural divides to strengthen their academic and leadership potentials as well as enhance their interest in community development initiatives.
Members of the University community and the general public are, therefore, enjoined to attend the event punctually.
