The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), University of Ilorin, Prof. Moji Taibat Bakare-Odunola, has reaffirmed the University’s commitment to excellence.

In an interview co-anchored by the Station Manager, Unilorin 89.3FM, Mr. Idris Alooma and Mr Bunmi Obafemi last Tuesday, (November 18, 2025) on a special programme tagged “Countdown to Unilorin @50”, Prof. Bakare-Odunola highlighted the University’s achievements, including its strong focus on academic excellence, research, and community service.

She noted that the University has produced leaders and scholars who have made significant impacts globally and nationally, and has contributed to the development of Kwara State and the host community.

The Deputy Vice Chancellor also emphasised the University’s commitment to innovation, citing the adoption of digital technologies, including a paperless system, to enhance academic processes.

Prof. Bakare-Odunola urged students to prioritise good character and academic excellence, while urging parents to invest in their children’s education and treat girls and boys equally.
