The Chapel of Light, University of Ilorin, has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a culture of peace, unity, and harmony among people of different faiths in the University.
Dr. Olasupo Osaji, Chaplain of the Chapel of Light, who made this statement last Wednesday, (November 19, 2025), while featuring on ”Count Down to Unilorin @50”, co-anchored by Mr. Idris Alooma and Mr. Temitope Olawuyi, praised the University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, for creating an environment conducive to academic excellence and spiritual growth.
Dr. Osaji also commended the alumni of the University on their exemplary conduct and academic achievements, noting that they have brought pride to the institution.
The Cleric said, “There is nowhere in the world where you won’t see our products; they are all excelling and making us proud.”
Looking ahead, Dr. Osaji expressed optimism that the University of Ilorin will rank among the 50 best universities globally within the next 20 years, crediting the Chapel of Light’s significant contributions to the University’s academic and spiritual development.
The Chaplain’s remarks underscore the University’s commitment to interfaith dialogue and cooperation, as well as its focus on holistic education that nurtures both the mind and spirit.
