The death has been announced of a former Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, University of Ilorin, Prof. J. S. O. Adeniyi.
This was disclosed in a memo dated December 9, 2024 and signed by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. J. K. Odusote, a copy of which was made available to UNILORIN Bulletin.
The memo said that Prof.Adeniyi, who served as Dean from 1990 to 1994, died on Sunday, December 5, 2024.
Prof. Odusote, described the late Prof. Adeniyi as “a distinguished academic and administrator who made significant contributions to the growth and development of our University, particularly in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology”.
The Dean added that “the leadership, expertise, and dedication to excellence” of the late scholar will be deeply missed.
