A Muslim cleric and Faculty Accountant at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Ilorin, Mr Lukman Mukhtar, has advised Muslim couples to prioritise quality relationships.
Mr Mukhtar stated this penultimate Sunday (December 14, 2024) while delivering a lecture at the wedding of the children of Mr Abdulganiyu Adebayo of the Works Department at Magaji Ogo Compound, Ilorin.
He emphasised the necessity of nurturing a strong marital bond for lifelong togetherness, happiness and harmony as he urged couples to always support each other with encouragement and motivation and avoid harmful habits, such as beating or disrespect.
Also speaking at the event, the Director of the University Health Services, Dr Rasheed Odunola, congratulated the couple as he advised them to always exhibit patience, perseverance and true love.
The bride’s father, Mr Abdulganiyu Adebayo, who is a Senior Driver at the University Health Services, thanked the Almighty Allah, Dr Odunola, staff members of the University community, friends and relatives for their moral and financial support.
