Unilorin Alumna, Raheemah Adebiyi, wins Commonwealth Scholarship

A distinguished alumna of the University of Ilorin, Raheemah Adebiyi, has been awarded the coveted Commonwealth Scholarship to pursue a Master of Science degree in Global Development and Environment at the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom.

In a chat with UNILORIN Bulletin last Thursday (September 25, 2025), Raheemah, a 2023 graduate of the Department of Agricultural Economics and Farm Management, expressed her excitement upon receiving the prestigious award.

On her advice to undergraduates, she said  “I would encourage them to focus on their studies while also engaging in extracurricular activities to develop valuable skills.”

She was full of praises for her undergraduate supervisor who is now the Ag Head of the Department of Agricultural Economics and Farm Management, Dr Khadijat Amolegbe, for her mentorship, stating that “beyond academic supervision, Dr Amolegbe continued to support me even after graduation.
