The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, has, again, been commended for his relentless support to the Centre for Ilorin Studies (CILS).
This commendation was made by the Director of the CILS, Prof. Issa Olarongbe Sanusi, in a memo dated September 11, 2025 and addressed to the Vice Chancellor, a copy of which was made available to UNILORIN Bulletin.
In the memo, Prof. Sanusi said that the Vice Chancellor’s recent approval of the requested funds would enable COMSIT to purchase and install the equipment needed for the restoration of internet services to the CILS.
Prof. Sanusi, who teaches at the Department of Linguistics and Nigerian Languages, said that the internet service would, no doubt, provide the CILS with the “opportunity of making our activities at the Centre visible to the outside world, and thereby project the good image of the University”.
The Director, who assured the Vice Chancellor of the determination of the management and staff of the Centre to ensure better service delivery, wished Prof. Egbewole a more successful and rewarding tenure.
