Aremu nominated for COPRECOEN Best Provost Award

A former Head of the Department of Marketing, University of Ilorin, who is currently serving as the Provost of Kwara State College of Education, Oro, Prof. Mukaila Ayanda Aremu, has been nominated for the Best Provost Award (Human Capital Development), North Central Zone  by the Committee of Public Relations and Information Officers in Colleges of Education, Nigeria (COPRECOEN).

In a letter addressed to Prof. Aremu signed by the trio of COPRECOEN’s National Chairman,  Dr Chukwuebuka Obi; the Chairman, Local Organising Committee (LOC), Dan Adanwu, and Secretary, Sam Otti, a copy of which was made available to UNILORIN Bulletin last Thursday(August 28, 2025), the organisers described the nomination as a recognition of Prof. Aremu’s exceptional leadership and commitment to human capital and infrastructural development.

The letter noted, “Your tenure has made a lasting and positive impact, setting a benchmark for institutional leadership within the Colleges of Education system.”

According to the letter, the recognition will be conferred during the maiden COPRECOEN Merit Award and 28th Anniversary Celebration, slated for Monday, September 1, 2025, at the NCCE Headquarters, Abuja (Chukwuemeka Ezeife Conference Hall) by 11:00 a.m.

It stated further that the event will also honour other distinguished education stakeholders, including the Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) and the Executive Secretary of TETFund, among others.

Prof. Aremu’s nomination has been widely regarded as a well-deserved acknowledgment of his outstanding performance in human capital development within the North-Central Zone.
